Question reusing HUGS after crash?

I kept the HUGS and chest clips from the seats that were in our wrecked car. Are there any risks to reusing the HUGs or chest clips? I am going to toss them if there is risk but was not sure, expecially with the HUGS. I have new MAs so I will save them if there is no danger

From everything I've read here, you cannot use HUGS after a crash, because they are part of what makes the seat function.

You could reuse a cover from a crashed seat, but not the harness, HUGS, or LATCH straps (if they were in use, not sure if they are usable if they weren't in use)

ETA: I'm not certain if that only applies to seats that were occupied during the crash, or not.

I think it depends on whether the seat was occupied.

I'm sure if the seat was empty those things are fine, likely even the straps are fine on an empty seat. If someone was in it, I'd toss those things, better safe than sorry.
