Do you take the HUGS off your RF seats?

I never had a baby small enough to matter in a Big Britax, but I would have if I did (covers? belly pads? yuck, removed immediately :p)

For a small baby yes because I felt they got in the way and it was just easier to buckle if they were off. I used the seat FF for someone elses child so the HUGS went back on and now I've left them on for DD to use whild RF. They don't seem to be in the way now that she is a bit older and bigger.

I took them off in my Marathon when I first got it because DS was on the bottom slots and they were getting on my nerves. They just seemed in the way while I was getting used to how to tighten the harness on that seat. I would probably be fine with them now (on second slots - approaching third), but I haven't bothered putting them back on. We're switching to a True Fit for RF shortly anyway.

Yep, we took the HUGS off and left on the covers and belly pad. K liked to think that the HUGS were really niffty teething toys so she spent a majority of the ride trying to get them in her mouth.
And I just like how the harness lays nicer with out them on;)

My daughter rear-faced in a Roundabout, so no HUGS. I'd take them off if I had a reason to, but if the child fit fine with them on, I'd leave them.

I kept the HUGS off until DD was probably 12 months or so. I had a couple "trial runs" with the HUGS on and just felt like they always got in the way. Now that she is bigger, I like them.

I never used the belly pad, hate it.

I take mine off. I am going to put them on my spare seat because it only has a 33 lbs rear-facing weight limit and i I might put it forward facing soon anyway. I keep weighing Elizabeth before I use it. She was 31 lbs this morning.

Using infant seats first combined with a longish torso = I never removed the HUGS on our MA or Blvds.

Yes

For two years I fought it. I thought it was dumb to take them off and you'd just lose them and you have to put them back on if you need to switch to FF quick for some reason, so you had to keep them with you blah blah blah

But one time, I took them off for the heck of it. It was great! I got such a great fit without them. You could get the harness a lot tighter.

SO we've never looked back. None of my MA's have HUGS now

I take them off. I also don't use strap covers or the belly pad. I just feel like we get a better fit without all that pish posh. Heh, good word, huh? lmao

No, but I should. Just afraid I'm gonna lose them or forget when I finally turn FF.

I really should tho. THe things drive me nuts.

Yes, I take them off. DD moved into her DC when she was only 8mo and they were huge and got in the way of a tight harness. I will leave them off until she goes FF, just because I'm happy with it that way.

I take them off. We do use the belly pad and the strap covers. My nephews have very sensitive skin and the straps rubbing on them cause marks. That and for some reason is bugs me not to use them. Weird, I know, but hey, we can't all be normal. LOL!
