Car-Seat.Org Lifesavers Reception - Please RSVP

I am planning an informal reception on Monday night, March 30th, in one of the conference meeting rooms. Details are still tentative, but here's the general plan:

It will start around 6 pm. At some point, maybe around 6:45pm, we will head to one of the hotel or nearby eating establishments for food and refreshments. Right now, the nearby Caney Fork Fish Camp is the likely choice.

In the event I am able to cater or need a number for reservations, I need to get a good idea how many people plan to attend.

So, if you are going to Lifesavers, please reply along with the number in your party who will attend. If you are a member of Car-Seat.Org and an attendee of Lifesavers, you can probably expect free or cheap food! Friends and family will have to pay their own way, sorry! Alcoholic beverages will also most likely be on your own dime. In the event the logistics are too difficult with the hotel, we may just wing it and walk to a nearby Chili's or Friday's and I'll order up some pitcher's and appetizers and then people can wing it on their own for dinner and drinks.

I won't be able to come to lifesavers like I hoped, but if people who are driving/flying in on saturday want to try and have dinner. I can drive up just to visit, as long as it is the weekend!

(sorry I know this is suppose to be your thread, but I figured everyone would see this and I really want to try to get together even though I can't make it to the actual conference!)

I had planned on attending this year, but it looks like I'll be having a baby instead. :crying: (That's not crying about the baby, but about missing the conference.)

I just wanted to say that it's very nice of you to put together a gathering, and I hope that all who do go, have a great time!

I'll see you in Phoenix in two years. :D

I get to go to Lifesavers this year! I'm excited as it's my first time and I'm looking forward to it. It would be great to meet some of the online group IRL.

Ditto.

Although DH volunteered to bring me if I have baby early and feel like it! :D So, you just never know, although I'm not sure that I could get into Lifesavers at the last minute anyway.

Add me to the list. *Big thanks to my dad and his frequent flyer miles.*

Would anyone would be interested in splitting a hotel room and/or rental car?

I just made it worse check plane tickets. Only $238 round trip on AA. Registation will be $375 since I did not meet the cut off. Hotel will at the Gaylord would be about $400 (split 2 ways). I could take a shuttle from the airport. $200 for food, ect.

So if I asked for an even $1500 I would have it covered. I will ask Joe, but can pretty much guarantee a no.
