I got the blvd CS and I love it. but the "click" is happening when the harness is too loose. I know when the harness is tight enough, but Daddy and Gramma...not so much. I was kind of counting on this for piece of mind. What should I do?

Did you post about the purchase here? I know I and many other members have posted that the CS is a gimmick that does. not. work. It clicks waaaay too soon and gives the impression that is tight when it is not even close.

Britax really FAILED on that one

It's not so much a click as a ratcheting sound..but it's going off at least an inchor two, too loose. I can pinch the straps :(

Have you used a Britax seat before? Most of them have a ratcheting harness. You pull until it stops (too loose), then you do a few short tugs to get it tight the rest of the way.

The CS seems to click at the point that you would need to start ratcheting on a non-CS seat. So no, it does not click when it's tight, it clicks when it's "tightish."

So far, I have yet to see anyone on this board recommend the CS feature.

I would teach anyone else using the seat that the click is an indication that they're getting close, but they're not all the way there yet.

Yes I have used Britax (see my siggy, LOL) The grandparents are just so clueless I thought it would be nice to have a seat tell them when it was good, not ALMOST good...*sigh* is there anything Britax would do if I contacted them?

LOL, yeah, I guess I didn't look at your siggy!

I don't think Britax will do anything. The video of the CS on their website even shows it clicking, then the person readjusting, pulling again, clicking again, pulling again, etc. I really don't understand the point.

I would either (like I said before) teach the grandparents to be diligent about it, or return it for a different seat. Sorry. :(

sorry, ya, it just doesn't work.
For the truly clueless, I'd maybe try something like the truefit, with teh continuous harness, because you can just set it, and then pull each side in turn to get the kid in, and wiggle it around til it's even and it is fine. Just tell them to never EVER loosen it, and it will always be as tight as you set it.
