Finally sat dd2 in the Nauti

I am so surprised...She fit with a bit of growing room! Granted, this was on the floor at Baby Depot, so not installed. Also, I couldn't remove the infant padding, so she would have had even more time in it. I wish I had taken a picture. For reference, she outgrew the MA over a year ago. I am going to move her to the top slots in her Regent today, as I noticed yesterday that she looks like she is over the 2nd to top slots now.

I REALLY REALLY liked that seat. It fit dd sooooo well! and she liked it too. If it had come out just a few months earlier, I would definitely have bought it instead of the Regent. DD1 is going to be going into a booster full-time in the next 6 months, so I could have passed her Regent to dd2 and moved dd1 into the Nauti in booster mode. Man. That sucks. Oh, well.

I had recommended the seat to my sister for her then 3yo without ever having seen it. Now, I would recommend it based on my personal observations!

Yes, good seat for money, nice high slots:thumbsup: Of course, my dds are exceptions to the rule, and the almost 6 year old (Monday:love:) outgrew her marathon at 3.5:eek: AT the time, the only long lasting choice was the regent. She would have made it to almost 5 in the nautilus though:) She just outgrew the regent, and now is in a parkway.

Our Nautilus just came today and I'm really impressed with it, too. What did you think of the crotch buckle and shoulder room?

I was a little leary since I've been reading all the posts about those issues. But I don't really see any problems with either for my DD:confused: And she's 5y 4mos, 42#. She's on the 2nd to top slots.

The shoulder area *looks* narrow but I really think its just the padding that makes it look that way. My DDs shoulders are not squished at all, the sides angle outward.

The buckle wasn't a problem for us either. I took the belly pad off, it just makes it too bulky. She was about 1/2 to 3/4'' from being even with the second buckle position.

She had enough shoulder room to be comfortable. Her shoulders were waaay tighter in the MA. Same for the crotch buckle...she was fine in it. I really wish this seat would have been available sooner. I would have bought it in a heartbeat, and that's after using mostly Britax seats.

yep... Ruthie outgrew the Marathon right around turning 4... the Nauti bought her so much more time... don't know how much yet as she's still using it, but since she'll be 5 in March, it will be more than a year.
