RIP Colonial Blue Marathon Jan 23 2009

You were a good seat, you served us well. You came into our lives when DS was 8 months old and we used you for exactly 2 years before passing you on to another family. You were a dream to install in our corolla, both rear and forward facing. You were before your times then and I only wish it could have lasted longer. I pray whomever you are with will give you a proper burial.

Such bittersweet memories.

sorry! I know! I have never actually destroyed a seat, they go to the coalition The only expired seat I have is the laptop, but I refuse to destroy it. It is a piece of history!

Farewell dear cowmoo MA, we miss you every day. You were with us since DS was 18 mos old. You were only 8 months old when you left us to hold your new sweet little lady. We cherished each time we got to see you again after you went home with her, but now it's been 2 lonely months since both of you moved across the country. We wish you were here, there's no moo here without you.

RIP Jefferson Tan RA. You were so young when the accident took you at only 16 months. You never even got to forward face. You were my first Britax and will always be the perfect seat in my mind. I miss you each time we travel and still regret that time I checked you as baggage. Ds would have been too tall for you by now, but we have a new little one who could use a small seat like you. I'll never know another harness adjuster like yours. *sniff*

ps, I still have your harness.

You guys are making me miss my Evenflo Medallion.

Her 'seat within a seat' padding comforted my newborn on his first car trip home, her non-twist straps were always a joy to buckle, her 'seat saver base' never dented my Saab's leather...and I saved her chest clip, a reminder of my first big carseat mistake: that I didn't know it unhooked so I could put him in the seat without shoving his head up under it and recreating his birth at only one day old.

RIP old Apollo. Dec. 31, 2008. You were the first car seat I researched, and even then I didn't know how great you were. All of that EPS foam. You lovingly held and cherished both of my boys and you were DH's favorite seat. I even caught him trying to sneak you back into his truck last week. I hope you enjoy car seat heaven, for I am sure that is where you are going.

Yup but too bad the matching rain jacket would never ever work in it, coat trick or not!
