I currently own a car seat that came as a set with the stroller. It was the Eddie Bauer Travel System. This past week were in a minor accident and although no one was injured and our baby was fine the ER physician and our pediatrician informed us that we are supposed to replace the car seat.
Unfortunately our model car seat can not be purchased separately from the stroller and will cost about $250 to replace. We were at no fault in this accident so the claim would go to the other guys insurance. Does anyone know if they will cover this entire cost??

They should replace the car seat, but I doubt they will purchase an entire travel system just so you match.

my insurance company paid to replace my travel system since the seat we had
was only available that way .

They should replace the seat, and you can keep the cover and switch it out so you match. The Eddie Bauer seats are the Designer 22 seats, IIRC.

You might consider getting a convertible if they don't care what seat you replace it with, and just using your stroller as a stroller, since your child will need a convertible soon anyway... Unless your child is exceptionally small or very young.
