Just installed my Regent -- awesome!

I was waffling about whether to by a Regent or Nautilus for my very tall 4-year-old (http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=69330&highlight=regent+tall+4) and decided to get a Regent for his main seat. I just installed it with seatbelt in my 2006 Subaru Outback, and I have to say it was the EASIEST install I have ever done. It took me just a couple of minutes, and the seat doesn't budge at all -- totally rock solid. It's so big that I was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to fit it in the car (had to turn it sideways to get it in the door), but it fits perfectly and when installed doesn't even seem that big.

I was prepared to battle with that beast and it went in like a dream! What a relief after struggling to get DS's old Radian in with a belt (LATCH is easy, belt is possible but difficult).

I got a Nautilus for DH's car, while my son LOVES it, it didn't install nearly as easily (2002 Honda Accord). It's in fine but not nearly as rock solid as the Regent.

Thumbs up for the Regent!!

Thats awesome, I just had a friend trying to decide to get another nautilus or try the Regent and she was told by so many people the Regent is hard to install that she is thinking shes just gonna get the 3rd nauti. Im gonna show her this post although its no guarantee it will install easily in her mercury mountaineer.

Glad it worked nicely for you!

I agree with the install of the Nautilus - we have an '02 accord and the nautilus was a major PITB to get in and out of the accord for whatever reason - I think it was partly due to the slant of the sets. The Regent IMO is just a dream to install anywhere! My husband even had it in the back of our old Honda Prelude and didn't complain about the install at. all.

I will say the Nautilus installed MUCH better in my mini-van - piece of cake actually- more so then the regent so we kept the regent in our Accord when I got my new mini-van.

I think a lot just depends on the vehicle and carseat combo.
