Slimmest 5pt harness carseats?

We have Dodge Stratus and so far we managed to squeeze all 3 kids in the back seat with FP Safe Voyage, Radian 80 and Chicco KeyFit30. DS is close to outgrowing his FP, and DD2 will need a convertible soon (she's almost 10 months and tall).

Right now the fit is quite tight as it is, maybe we still have a couple of inches to spare. With tax return coming, we need to pick 2 new car seats. So the Radian stays (in the middle), but we need something for DS up to 65 or 80lbs and then a lower limit convertible for DD2 (40lbs should be ok).

Can someone recommend 'slim' car seats that would fit in sedan? Obviously, we can get Radian 80 for DS, but maybe there's something else I don't know about? (I did my research about a year ago so its been a while). DD2 needs something with a recline, would MaxiCosi be ok? I don't know how wide it is though...

TIA!

Can't you put your DD2 RF in the FPSV? Then you'd only have to buy one more seat, you could get another radian and know they'd fit. Or is there some reason why you want to stop using it?

Unless your children are very chunky or stocky, it is unlikely they will get to 65 pounds before reaching the height limit. Plus you already have a Radian80 in case one child does manage to go over 65 pounds in the Radian. Get a Radian65 instead of a Radian80, it'll save you a few $.

Actually, I own a Dodge Stratus, and I'm concerned the OP does not have independently tight installs. I am confident when I say the combination of seats she describes simply won't fit in a Stratus. That back seat is an unholy nightmare when it comes to car seats.

OP, in your situation, the ONLY thing that is going to work is three Radians across. I have attempted a Britax/Radian combination in the Dodge Stratus and it just doesn't fly. Seats need to be independently tight, meaning they don't feel tight only because they are pressed next to another seat.

To check if the seats are independently tight, install one seat tight (less than one inch of movement at the belt path). Then install the second seat, and take out the first seat. Check for tightness of that second seat. It needs to be less than one inch at the belt path.
