Van accident this am

My 10 year old who takes a van for school was in a minor fender bender this am. They police and fire dept both told me they were all fine and could go back to school. I said no and I would take him home with me. He was never checked or even taken out of the van. They were waiting for the new van to come to take them to school and the nurse would look at them then. Should I take him to the hospital? I'm so worried.

Is he complaining of pain? Was he in a seatbelt? Did his head hit anything?

He was in a seatbelt. He didn't hit his head and he is saying his neck hurts.

I would take him in just to be safe. School nurses generally aren't trained to deal with injuries of this sort.

I would have him looked at for 2 reasons. 1-My own peace of mind 2-If he really was injured (no matter how minor), and medical care was delayed, the insurance company can have a field day.
