ACTS Oregon is please to announce that a certification class and CEU workshop have been scheduled in Baker City this April. Both classes will be held at the Baker City Police Department.

Certification Class-
Begins Monday April 20th, 2009 at 1:00 pm. This class will wrap up with a clinic the afternoon of April 23rd.

CEU Workshop-
All CPS Technicians are welcome to attend. An overview of current best practice, recent technical information and a display of new seats will be provided. Attending a CEU workshop will offer CPS technicians the opportunity to earn up to 6 CEU credits towards recertification. Instructors will be available to sign off techs on the required car seat installations. There is no charge for this workshop.

Ack-Baker City. :( I might have to try to make it to some of the CEU workshops at the end of next month in Lake Oswego. Ugh.

I wish I was as close as any of you to any of those classes. We don't have squat down here! I would have to drive for 5 or more hours to get to any of those. I drove 45 minutes every day just to get to my certification class last year. It sucked.

I think I'm going to try and get into the CPS class in Beaverton that's coming up. I'm having a hard time figuring out the childcare issue though. How far is Baker City from Ontario? I have a friend I could stay with for that one....hm.

According to Google Maps, Baker City is about 73 miles from Ontario, about an hour and 15 minutes, mostly on Interstate 84.

Yes, it is. My first attempt at tech class was almost 2 hours one-way. I dropped out after the first day, due to multiple issues, only one of which was the drive.
