Suggestions for fit in a Murano

Currently, DS and DD are both in Britax Frontiers in my Murano. I can get the middle seat down (well, what's in the middle seat with the cup holders) between the seats but that's it. Each seat has probably about 1-2 inches left until the arm rests would touch the doors.

My parents are coming to visit in April (they come over 2/year) and while I had my Volvo I would put DS in the integrated booster seat for short rides (grocery store). We would take both cars when going further, as i wasn't comfortable with his size in the integrated booster (it was more of -- it was my only option at the time).

We have a Regent and MA in DH's car so there is even less room there (Maxima). My only other seat, which is not any narrower, is the foldable Compass Booster (we used it for travel before).

So now I have the Murano with no option of an integrated booster seat and I have to figure out how to fit my mom between or next to the kids....... She is about a size 14-16. Even with moving each Frontier as much as I can to each side, there won't be enough room. I noticed that the murano has the weird seat belt in the middle (belt coming from the ceiling in the cargo area, if htat makes sense), so i don't even know if there is anything that I can use there for DS, or DD. (Maybe the adult HAS to sit in the middle?)

I was debating getting a narrow highback booster (Graco?) and see if htat works, but I wanted to put DD in the middle. I have to read the manual for the Murano and the Frontier, but since there is no LATCH in the middle, the seatbelt would be my installation option there. So i need to find out of that's even an option (anyone know off hand?).

I was also debating that one harness (forget what it's called, runs about $100) but it really does seem "annoying" to have to get on and off for short trips, etc. Anyone tried and it can tell me if it's comfortable/easy to deal with? Obviously, if that's my only option i'll get it.....

TIA!

Can you put the Frontier and MA next to each other? Or 2 frontiers next to each other? I believe it be easier for your mom to sit in an out board position, then to have to squeeze in to the middle seat.
