Trauma - and trauma again?

I was flipping through the channels and caught parts of one of Discovery Health's trauma shows (Life in the ER?).

It showed 3 boys (all had facial/head injuries) and their father (knee brace & cane) being discharged after being in a car crash (Mom and sister were still in the hospital). The narrator stated they needed to get a new van in order to drive home (out of state).

When I flipped back through, it was nearing the end of the show. They were being reunited with their dog :).

THEN. . .the dad raises the back door of a UHaul truck and all the boys climb in and encourage their dog to join the. Then, the dad pulls the door down. The next shot was dad (ironically WITH seat belt) driving away in the cab with the voices of the boys yelling at him from the BACK.  HELLO - you just got out of the hospital after being injured in a crash!?!

Why would anyone FILM that to be BROADCAST NATIONWIDE? Are they looking for a sequel for their show or what?

Maybe we need to start talking to the producers at Discovery about CPS(Duggans, sextuplets, new baby show, etc.). Obviously, they are lacking common sense (can you say, "Carbon Monoxiode?") and knowledge of basic seat belt laws.

That's what I thought  and that's what it looked like. There was no one beside him in the cab (1, 2, or 3 boys would have been visible). It showed the kids getting into the back and the door closing. Then you could hear their voices but couldn't see them.
