Britax play tray

I finally had some free time to websurf and noticed that some of the UK Britaxes are compatible w/ a play tray.

Anyone else come across this? Wonder why the US versions don't have one. DD would dig it.

Safety standards maybe??

I actually had this play tray... I think it accidentally went to the dump one day when My DH didn't know what it was.

It wasn't all that heavy... but I don't think I'd use it now today being a tech (this was pre-carseat crazy days). It clipped on the side - but would probably push off in an accident (which would probably be good... because it could be abdominal injury).

So yeah - I don't think its something I'd really recommend.

fisher price sells a soft try that I'm cool with...

I've always wondered though, what do you use this tray for? All I can think would be soft stuffed toys...aside from the tray itself, you're just adding projectiles, no?
