Vent~Britax University Parkway on Backorder

I ordered the Parkway with Oklahoma University cover on May 10 with an expected delivery date of 12 weeks, so puts the date at August 4. I ordered online and this was the expected transit time for all the online retailers I checked. I'm pretty impatient but didn't even call until August 1 to see when I might be receiving them. Customer service tells me they won't be receiving OU Parkway from Britax until August 11, and then they will ship out. Okay, I've waited this long what's another 1-1/2 weeks. Well, I get an email today that says Britax is having production problems, and the OU Parkway is now on backorder until September 15. I'm tempted to cancel the order and go with another booster, but I've already promised these to my boys. Next time I'll just keep my mouth shut. Why did Britax even let retailers go ahead with orders if they couldn't fufill their orders? Over 4 months to wait is RIDICULOUS! GRRR!

I was going to order an Illini Parkway and a Roundabout cover. Then the covers were delayed almost a year after the original press releases said they would be available. I ended up buying something else.

I had a similar situation with the Paisley Bodyguard. I pre-ordered and kept waiting and waiting. I can't even recall how many months it turned out to be.

I had let my youngest ds see the camo cover for the Bodyguard and he wanted it, I intended to just order the cover when available. I finally gave up on waiting on it and lost interest. Now I have to contain my excitement over seats/covers and keep it to myself so only one of us is dealing with the disappointment if it doesn't work out.

I hope you get your seats sooner than expected and that everyone's happy enough with them to make the wait worth it.
