Evenflo Triumph installation for Honda Odyssey

My husband has installed the Evenflo Triumph into our 2007 Odyssey. It is RF. The Triumph is pressed up so close against the back of the car seat so that the knob and red button for tightening and releasing the Triumph shoulder straps are difficult to use. They are just about impossible to use so that the straps stay the same length which makes it challenging to get my daughter in and out of the Triumph. What can be done differently so that the knob and red button can be accessible and functional.

thanks.

If your vehicle owner's manual doesn't prohibit it, you can recline the vehicle seat a notch or two. Just make sure to retighten the LATCH or seatbelt if you do adjust it.

Unfortunately this happens quite a bit. I have the Triumph Advance in a Honda Civic and the knob and red release tab are right up against the vehicle seat back. It actually wore a little hole in the seat fabric. I can still adjust the harness though, it just rubs on the vehicle seat.

I figure I'll have this Civic until it croaks, so I'm not too worried about the wear from the tab.

Sorry, I know I'm not much help. Other than the advice already given, I can't think of anything to add.

install it again, use a pool noodle to help w/the recline, and like pp'er said, recline the captain's chair it's on a notch or two (if allowed). you also can try installing it a little further back from the seat bight.
