baseless SR or Scenera?

dh is going to be gone with our car later and the in-laws want to go shopping. I really don't want to uninstall the base because it's a beast to get in my car. Would you use a SR without the base or a Scenera? It'll be in a 2003 Envoy for an 8-9 lb 3 week old baby- probably in the center position (which I think is a lapbelt only).

I would use the Scenera. Much easier than either trying to slide baby in and out of the infant seat, or having to buckle the seat in each time.

that was my first thought, but on the other hand it would be nice to have the bucket if she's sleeping and she doesn't really love the sling. Plus we'll probably meet up with dh for dinner and I have no idea how she'll do (again, may be nice to have the bucket). We haven't really taken her out yet.

If she doesn't like the sling, then the SR might be better.

Hmm, makes me hope that my baby will like the sling! Now that I know not to put infant seats on shopping carts, I was planning to leave the seat in the car most of the time and just use a sling.

I'm pretty confident with my bucket installs, I'd definitely go with the SR if it were me :twocents::)
