Help please! I'm confused and dazed!

I was hit head-on yesterday in my husband's new Toyota Tacoma- it only has 3000 miles on it! Car and I were initially going between 15 and 20 mph but slid right into each other after braking. Lots of damage to front of our truck, couldn't open my door. DS's roundabout was installed but unoccupied. We had truck towed but possible could have driven away. Carseat probably passes the test of being ok but I'm going to see if Pemco will replace it. DS is 23 month and 27lbs. He's in a Radian 65 in my Honda CRV. What should I buy to replace the roundabout? I have loved it, but didn't love the Marathon I tried. I can switch the Radian to truck and use new seat in my vehicle. I need both FF and RF options. Please help since I'm overwhelmed!

That sounds like some pretty substantial damage. I would replace the seat. Have you checked out the First Years True Fit. It has a nice tall shell and will allow rearfacing to 35 lbs in all but they very, very tallest of kids. There is also a new Radian XT that is out.

I would look at a 1st years true fit, a safety 1st avenue, and an evenflo triumph advance. I wouldn't get another roundabout because of how short the shell is.

I agree, that doesn't sound like NHTSA's (or Britaxes) qualifications for a 'minor accident' and the seat should be replaced.

I agree with the recommendaiton of the First Years True Fit.

I'm not sure how well a Radian would fit in a pick up, but the Triumph Advance, Britax Marathon and clones, and Safety First Avenue would all be good choices for a rearfacing toddler :)
