Thank you!

I wish I could send that home with every one of my 2nd graders. I highly doubt that any of my students are in a booster (and several should still be harnessed:(

I would probably lose my job though!

:( Yeah, I took 350+ CPS coloring books to my kids' school last year for CPS week. It was MAY before they actually went home. I was beyond irritated.

How do you get coloring books?

That might be something I could actually send home!

Check with AAA. They have some kids' safety info as well.

As far as sending things home, would your principal/administration allow you to put something in the school/PTA news letter? Post it on the website?

[I've been frustrated by the interest/response at my school as well. While my principal paid for me to be trained, he chewed me out for questioning/mentioning the need for boosters to a grandma, because the grandma complained to him. Basically, I'm "if you come to me, I can help," so with two exceptions in 3 years, I've only checked seats/helped staff.] :(

Really? I do a whole booster unit with my first graders. It's great and I've never gotten a complaint from a parent. By the end of the year most, if not all of my students are in boosters if they were not already. I've also had the superintendent put notes in staff newsletters and do seat checks for staff.

If it's not in the district approved curriculum or the state standards we have to get permission to teach it. UGH!
