BV or MA for main seat?

Sofi's been using the Marathon in my van for her main seat. I bought a BV beacuse 1-I got a great discount 2-I felt better having her outboard in DH's durango w/ the TSIP. The BV wasn't working for DH so he got an EFTA. Now I'm left with the BV, and grandpa needs a new seat because they don't like the Uptown. Should I put the BV or the MA in his car?

My car:
DD is 2nd row of Sienna, center seat (of 8 passenger). SS1 is passenger side, and driver's side is empty

G'pa's car:
DD is center in CRV. No other passengers in the backseat. She is rarely in this car. I don't know whose car the grandparents use when they have her weekends, but they don't do alot of driving with her.

I have this feeling I should use the BV because it has the headwings. But I have multiple covers for the MA

Would the CRV be more likely to roll over in a crash?

She does sleep alot in my car, but her head bent to the side doesn't bother her or me.

I think it's really a tossup. Why doesn't g'pa like the Uptown? If lifting her over those wings is going to make it harder for him, then definitely MA for g'pa and BV for you.

The wings won't matter for G'pa. He has no problem lifting her. Also, she can climb into her seat anyway :)

He and G'ma don't like the Uptown because it's really difficult to adjust the harness. I was going to switch it out for a Scenera (which I have 2 extras) until I had to buy the EFTA for DH. I'd rather have the Sceneras in the closet than the BV ;)

I was thinking it's a toss up too. I'd kind of rather keep the MA in my car since I have multiple covers, I wouldn't have to start cover collecting for the MA

But if people think the headwings would be much safer, I'd switch them. IMO, the headwings don't matter as much because she's in the center...but I wanted to get other opinions :)

She's in the center in both vehicles, and RFing in both. I really don't see any safety benefit in being in one vehicle over the other.

I am a fan of the BV so here is my thought. Do you often check gpa's seat or does he adjust the seat as dd grows? If he does it I like the BV for him because you just turn the knobs to raise and lower the shoulder height. No need to uninstall or rethread the staps in his car. I've had no trouble with my BVs and find them easy to adjust rf and ff.

The only thing g'pa adjusts is the tightness of the harness :) I always check the grandparents' carseats when we're at their house. I always have to give it a good tug to reassure myself :) The seats get checked at least once a month. I would adjust the harness height myself.

We have a long time to go RF, and adjusting the harness on either seat RF is easy.

I think I'll just leave Sofi in the MA in my car because I have extra covers.
