OK, talk to me about LATCHable boosters. If anyone thinks this should be moved, feel free.
I always had in my mind that a LATCHable booster was a must have for me. It just "seems" safer. I'm not concerned about DH, or Kaylie, remembering to buckle it every time while not in use. But, I guess I just feel like it solves the tipping issues and is just overall safer. But, is that true? What's your opinion on the subject?
I'm seriously considering getting Kaylie a HBB for Matt's car as we've reached the point where we need seats for the grandparents' cars. I was figuring that since we'll be buying new seats in a couple of months anyway, it would be a good time to get Kaylie used to a booster in Matt's car, where I know it will be used correctly 100% of the time.
Problem is, my options for a LATCHable booster are seriously limited. I already have plenty of Nautiluses, and I want a dedicated booster anyway. I could wait for the Oobr, but the price tage is a bit hard to swallow since I'll need seats for both girls. I'm not a fan on the Monterey, though I haven't seen it in person. It just looks so wide in the shoulder area. Maybe it's just the pictures though? Anyone have pics of kids in it that they'd like to share? The Jane Indy Plus is another consideration, but I'm not wild about that one either. That's about all I have to choose from, isn't it?
So, is there really a significant safety advantage to LATCHable HBB or should I just forget the LATCH requirement and go with something else?
