Tight strap on the Boulevard?

I apologize if this issue has been addressed before.

Does anyone have a Britax Boulevard CS and think the crotch strap is too short? I can't believe Britax did not put adjustable slots there, especially since they are so innivative on everything else.

My 4 month old baby cries every time she is in her beautiful new Lauren seat and I think it's because the crotch is too tight (which is why we moved her out of her infant seat to begin with).

I hope I am missing something here bc I want to like this seat and cannot return it!

I can think of one tip to double check when the Blvd. is installed rear facing (and it should definitely be rear facing for a 4 month old. :) If it's installed with the vehicle seatbelt, make sure the vehicle seatbelt is routed between the rear facing Blvd's crotch strap and the back of the Blvd. rather than in front of the rear facing Blvd's crotch strap closer to where the baby's feet dangle. Routing the vehicle seatbelt incorrectly can overlap the crotch strap and rob it of some length. Hope this helps you out. :)
