Help! Friends DD torso too tall for seat, options please

I have a friend with a DD who is 38# - 40" tall - 16" torso and STILL in a Cosco Scenera. *shoulders are 1" about the top slot* :eek:


Need to know what her options are. Money is almost impossible.

I thought about loaning he a Parkway because of how it would protect her. (know oregons laws changed in 2007 for toddlers, so I'm at a loss :confused: )

How old is the child?

The Apex is the least expensive HWH option. I think I saw it's on sale somewhere for $85 (Big Lots?).

If that's too expensive, she could put the child in a booster for now and apply to the Kyle David Miller Foundation for a seat, but there is a wait involved and she'd have to prove financial need.

OY. Do you know anyone who could loan her something? Even a Cargo or a Chase while she saves us for a HWH seat.

Does anyone have an Avenue or Uptown she could borrow? That last 2 lbs. can sometimes take a while, and at more than 16 inches in the torso my kids still have a little room in our Uptown.

She found a friend that had the Graco Cargo. They don't expire till Dec of this year and they are harnessed. And no accidents. So she will have another inche for torso growth and that give her time to save for a booster.

She's been laughing at me about how crazy I have been about her daughter's car seat :whistle:
