Question Why did this fall under the 'Not recommended booster car seat'

I have, not using, Evenflo Confidence booster just like the one listed in the link: http://www.iihs.org/research/topics/boosters/not_recommended.html

Their explaination is 'Twelve leave the lap belt on the abdomen, and 1 positions the lap belt too far forward on the dummy's legs.'

Does anyone know which seat does what. DS love the seat, but haven't been using for awhile since I saw that. I had to sneak it out and put in his Parkway and tell him it was dirty.

My real question is, what was the conditions that made the Evenflo Confidence not recommended. DS sits great in it, shoulder and lap belt lay where they need to.

It doesn't appear that it would have good lap belt placement on most children. But, all children are individual and it may fit some ok. The Compass booster was poorly rated in that test and it fits many children just fine.

As long as the seatbelt fits the child correctly as shown in this link (http://www.iihs.org/research/topics/child_restraints/default.html), then it should be a fine booster to continue using.

That makes me feel sooo much better. :2thumbsup: I will try to take pictures tomorrow of DS in the Evenflo in the van and trooper.

Of the subject: what seat works best in a Mistubishi Montero mid 90's. Hubby is wanting me to sell my van.

I and the kids love the van. (2002 windstar w/ LATCH and Tether system, brother traded it for our old 1996 windstar) Hubby thinks we can get enough out of it to get me the Montero and a Suburban when we need to take too many people. Hubby says I don't take that many people to keep the van. I told him, yah, but DS is just starting school and he may have friend to pickup.

Long and short drrrrraaaagggggiiiinnnngggg my feet.

Oh yah, the SK Monterey would work perfect with the LATCH.
