I think it's getting through to DH...

So, DH took my car down to the car wash since it got doused with gross brown goo on the interstate yesterday (eww, ick). He was kind of gone for a while, and when he came home he goes, "oh, I brought you a present..." and produces a hb Turbobooster. Apparently someone was cleaning out their car and left it. The attendant said it had been there for a while, so DH brought it home... for whatever reason (he knows that expired seats are bad and not to use a seat of unknown origin, so I think he was being thoughtful :p). Anyway, DD immediately sits in it (it wasn't that gross or dirty, and I made her wash her hands after ;)). DH goes, 'yeah, it's definitely too big for you kiddo!" At which point I said, "actually, she meets the minimums..." (she was 38 inches with shoes at Target yesterday, and 29 lbs unclothed)

DH was SHOCKED. "But there's no way! The seatbelt slot is by her ears! They should have a sitting height on there or something!"

Hello preacher, meet the choir.

It's nice when they finally clue in. My husband is a physics type so when explaining stuff I use crash dynamics etc... makes sense to him but he still calls me the carseat nazi :p.

LOL, funny! How sweet of him to think of you

I just wanted to say though, that I would probably take the seat back to the carwash. Especially, since you aren't going to be using the seat. I'm actually surprised the attendant let him take the seat. If that had happened at our wash we would have taken the seat, and placed it inside the equipment room/office and held onto it in case someone came back for it. We often have things left at our carwashes and some people don't come and get it for days or weeks

OTOH, we do see carseats get dumped.
