Would you replace

Vomited on harness straps? CJ threw up all over the Scenera tonight, the straps felt pretty soaked. I'm washing the cover, but am concerned about the safety of the straps. Is it the same as being submerged? :shrug-shoulders:

I did a search, but only found how to clean them.

I didn't replace mine after my son vomited on them. I washed them as the manual said and dried them in the sun. It helped a lot. I had to do it twice to get rid of the smell.

I would not. This jmo and perhaps not the same as others but imo the straps are not going to compromised by your child puking on them and you cleaning the puke off one time. You should not soak your straps. Don't get out a big bucket and stick them in there to soak. Don't wash them in the washing machine. These are child restraints and they are made for children. Kids sometimes puke in their seats!

My dd puked in her MA once. I cleaned the harness with a water and baking soda mixture. Got the smell out!

As long as you cleaned them according to the manual I wouldn't worry about it unless you want to replace them.

Thanks everyone! I'm washing the cover, and will be washing the harness with a toothbrush and baking soda + water. We'll see if it makes them smell better.
