Would you buy a FPSV booster for...

$70ppd (brand new, DOM sometime in 08) for a child who won't use it for another year?

I've read it's just about the narrowest booster out there and we have VERY little room in the back of our car. When we add a third child I need DS (who will be 6 1/2 by then) to be in the narrowest booster available. Since the FPSV is discontinued, I'm tempted to snag one on ebay, but for twice the price they used to be.

Any suggestions? Is there anything else out there that is as narrow?

I own one. And I wouldn't.

I'd try the turbo booster first. You can buy one at Wal-Mart or Target and try it and then return it. I really don't think it is that much wider then the FP.

I'm having a hard time with this since I was under the impression that they were only made in 06-07. Unless you actually saw the DOM sticker, I would be leary as to the seller's credibility. :twocents:

It is considerably narrower than the Turbo booster, assuming your child fits in it at its narrowest setting. I took pics, they're floating around somewhere...

I can only fit a FPSVB between two Turbos in my dh's car. 3 Turbos will NOT fit.

Here's the link to the pics; the 2nd picture shows the difference in width:

OP, what kind of car is it (year/make/model)?

I would not. We have no way of knowing what seats are coming out in the future. If you are a year away from using it, I wouldn't buy it.

Thank you for the pictures :)
I have an 07 Subaru Forester. Currently DS is in a nautilus and DD in a marathon but we are hoping to keep the car when #3 comes along (whenever that may be...probably another year). There's not a lot of room back there so I'm looking at the narrowest possibilities.
