DH is looking into trading his truck (since it's useless with Kidlet on the way) for a '98 Dodge Durango with the 2 seater 3rd row. Obviously it doesn't have LATCH or tethers, but I was looking in my LATCH manual to see about installing top tethers for DD in the future (since I know she'll be turning FFing within the year based on her growth). HOWEVER, I can't figure out what's going on in the manual. It only shows Durangos having 3rd rows starting in 2001. WHen I look in the "1 or 2 rows" section it shows Durangos starting in '98, but only having a 60/40 seat. The second row isn't a 60/40, it's a bench with each outboard folding up and a little sliver of seat in the middle (which also can fold up). Not what I would consider 60/40 though.
So, I'm assuming I can only get TAs installed in the 2nd row and not in the 3rd, which kinda sucks. I mean, I doubt we'd really use the 3rd row, but I want the option. I don't see the capability of having a RFing seat in the 3rd row, so really only boostered kids or adult could sit in the back (it does have head restraints in all positions).
bah. This is annoying. We're still waiting on the financing to go through, so it might not work out at all, but I want to know what I'm getting into.
