Are there new MAs in the new year? Is it worth waiting?

I'm planning on buying DS a Marathon at babies r us in the next week or so, but I was wondering if there is any benefit to waiting until the new year. He is pretty close to outgrowing his SS1, but I might be able to squeeze in a couple more weeks, or I could rearrange and try to fit my extra Radian RFing, or borrow a seat. So there are options, it's snot an emergency to get the MA ASAP, I just want to.

So, any changes in the new year? Or can I just buy it now and be confident that it will be the same great seat as always? I'm out of the loop and not sure if there are proposed changes coming.

Thanks!

As far as I know, they tend to release any new versions in the fall. Just look for a Marathon with a 35 lb. RFing limit (as opposed to 33 lb.) and it will be the newest version.

Great, thanks. :) I'm in Canada so it's 30 lbs RFing for me either way, but I will just check the DOM and make sure it's recent. Thanks again!

Are you sure you don't want a True Fit

Yeah, but only because I need it to interlock with my Radian. My back seat is weenie. I did check out the True Fit over the weekend though and it is a fine looking seat. Unfortunately the wide base makes it a bad candidate for my car, since I am thinking ahead to a three-across situation in the next year or so.

You are doing a fine job marketing for it though! lol :D

Did you try it next to the Radian? I have no idea if it will fit, I'm just saying sometimes you just have to try ;) That 35 lb RF limit (and very tall shell) would be very hard for me to pass up in CA....
