is it considered a crash?

A big tree branch fell on DH's Durango last night. It dented and cracked (1 crack at each end of the dent) the hood.

I know the seat doesn't need to be replaced because it's a Britax Blvd. But it got me wondering.... If I still had the Evenflo Titan in there, would it need to be replaced because Evenflo says "any crash". Is that considered a crash? I don't imagine that could have put any strain on the carseat. But because the hood needs some work, is it considered a "crash"?

When it comes to carseats, it's only a crash if there would be some force put on the seatbelts, right? Like someone backing into my parked car as opposed to something falling on it (even if there was more damage).
