When does the Radian with the new chest clip come out?

Is this out already with the updated chest clip. I'm buying one next month and would rather buy the one with the updated clip instead of having to buy it later.

Not sure about the chest clip but I have one with the now replaceable straps. I haven't taken it out of the box but when I do I'll update.

Perfect! Let me know.. I had thought that the replaceable harness was the same time as the updated chest clip (I hate the old one!!!)

Well, I'm no help. It was supposed to have replaceable straps but I can't see that they are any different and the clip is the old fat kind. 3/08

I'll be able to update after Christmas ... I have two sitting under (ok, next to) my tree right now. I'm just not allowed to open them. I am SO 6 years old about them this year! Is it Christmas yet????

You can buy an IMMI clip yourself and replace it if you want.

I have to get a Radian anyways before babe is born, so I figured I'd wait to get one with the new chest clip instead of buying one and then still having to buy and swap out the chest clip. Just would rather have the Radian sooner than later

I just called Sunshine Kids to see if I could order a new style chest clip. The woman who answered the phone had no idea what I was talking about.

Hopefully, she was just uninformed and they will be available soon.

I emailed Russ in September asking about the new chest clip and when it will be available to buy separetely (and when it will come on the seats).
He told me late fall/early winter this year, and to contact him after Thanksgiving and he'd send me one.
I emailed him last week and haven't heard anything back yet, and the new clip is not on their website yet, so I have no clue!
I really want it to be soon though!

I was wanting to replace my chest clips so I emailed them. I hadn't heard back so I got impatient and called today. I was told that new replacement clips/seats with new clips would not be available until sometime after the first of the year. Bummer.

So annoying! I want the new version with the chest clip and replaceable straps. On Amazon they have a few different listings for the 80 and one of them refers to it as the "new" radian 80 but nothing in the description says if it really is the updated one or not.

Just heard back from an email I had sent to SK. A slightly different answer than they gave me on the phone today.

The new Chest Clip is not available for purchase yet. It should be available around mid February 09.

Got two Radian65s, both Champagne. One is 8/08 DOM, the other is 9/08.

8/08 is stickered RF to 33 pounds, but instruction manual says 35 pounds. It does not have user replaceable harness straps. It has the old chest clip and the old RF foot. All of the ink on the box is black.

9/08 is stickered RF to 35 pounds, and instruction manual says 35 pounds. It does have user replaceable harness straps. It has the old chest clip and the new RF foot that is narrower near the seat bight (a tidge over 8.5 inches vs. a tidge over 12.5 inches on the old foot). The ink on the box is black and blue.

I didn't see anything about the seat that screamed that the harness straps were replaceable. There is a difference if you have them side by side. The 9/08 version had a section in the manual (p. 42) about how to replace the straps. The 8/08 version had a different last couple of pages. Page 41 said do not attempt to take the harness out, and p. 42 was just warranty info.
