I cannot imagine spend 70 on a seat with zero padding, zero EPS foam, and is a real PITA to install rear facing. 40 dollars makes it a deal. 70 dollars makes it dumb!

I understand what you are getting at but....

for those parents or care givers that don't know what to look for and they see these nicer girl patterns and the price tag THEY may be more inclined to purchase it. Better then an incorrect seat.

I am sure i make no sense. But I thought the patterns were nice. That was mainly what I was posting. Not on whether or not the seat is too pricey.

Cute, but I am wary of the Pink covers.

I bought the Daisy(pink) cover for the Scenera to use at my parents and man oh man does it stain easily.
My Mother washed it after we left but the stains never came out. And that was just from dirt nothing major.

None of my lighter color Britax covers stain like that

You think 70.00 is bad I paid 109.00 for my Touriva at a baby shop.

Honestly I liked the Touriva a whole lot more then the Scenera. My poor DD thighs were always getting pinched by the crotch buckle and the shoulder straps always left marks on her neck. She complained every single time I put her in that seat.

I know that the Daisy cover is sometimes available at Walmarts here in Canada but have yet to see one in store or in someone's car.

Yeah - sorry to go off topic. I do like the new patterns. I am just in shock of how much the price has gone up. When I bought mine in 2007 - the prices hovered between $30.00 and $40.00 and to see it doubled, I guess I was in sticker-shock.

At first, I figured it was the CDN pricing, but I looked again and it was the US site.

They are $43 at our walmart right now. I think I paid $40 when I bought Connor's . No way would I pay $70 for a scenera I don't care what kinda cover it has on it.

I'd rather see a parent pay $70 for a Scenera than $70-100 for a CS. BRU has them online, maybe they'll work on getting them instore. Not that I'd pay that much for the scenera....

I have 2 Sceneras in the pink Daisy pattern. I got them at Walmart last summer for $35 on sale. Now they are about $45 on sale. Mine get dirty easy and show dirt badly, but they wash up very easily too. I just replaced them with TFs and I must say the difference is amazing. The TF covers (Monet) while light colored, do not every look dirty. I don't think I will hardly ever have to wash them.

I have a dark blue scenera from walmart about 2 years ago... It is soft material and actually kinda plush. Now, they have a new one out though. I paid 35.00 for my scenera. Now, they seem to be 43-45

I think the girl covers are really cute. My friend got a pink scenera from walmart and it stains, but washes nice.
