Snugride 32 covers

I was playing with a couple of new Snugride 32 seats today at Babies R Us and I thought the material they used for the covers was just awful. Is it just me?? Very rough, not newborn soft or snuggly at all.
It felt like a craptastic duffle bag or something. A couple had a somewhat soft center panel, but the sides were still awful.

This was the worst offender, Bombay.

I second the roughness.

I saw a grey tone stripe one at BRU and was all "ohhh, look at this pattern..." and went to stroke it and was like "what???" It was sooo rough!!

I do like the one in your picture though.

Exactly. I saw the Bombay and was like "Cool cover!" but when I stroked it :p - I was like "What the heck!?"

I installed one over the weekend, and don't remember what it felt like. Not all soft and cuddly, but I don't remember it feeling too rough. Maybe cuz I'm used to the roxy SS1

The one we had over the weekend was mostly blue, with a brown design....could be boy (blue) or girly (design).

I looked at them at bru this weekend and I didn't even get it off the shelf to look at it close up. Can we say aftermarket covers and headrests??? If I bought that for my newborn I'd be headed for the closest walmart to pick up all the aftermarket stuff they had just so my baby wouldn't have to lay in that:twocents:

I know!
My sister insisted on putting a bundle me lite (the one where it's as thick as a t-shirt) in her snugride even thought I argued against it because it seemed so rough and uncomfortable to her. That was one of the older sugrides (a year ago) not one of these new ones that are just horrible IMO. What was Graco thinking???

I agree about the SS32 covers. Maybe they put crappy covers on them to try to get people to spend the extra 25$ for the Tuetonia ones. Those have VERY nice covers.
