"Alpha Elite" = Omega / Apex

"Alpha Elite" is stitched on the middle of our new Apex headrest & it's also printed on the box....

I remember there being referrences in the past to "Alpha Elite" being just another fancy version of the Omega, but it seems Dorel is using this phrase on the Apex as well

Since the Apex has hit the market, I remember at least one guest here had questions about the "Alpha Elite" & I worry that they've received misinformation because of the confusion with Dorel using this phrase on different seats *SIGH*

So, here's a reminder for us all not to jump to the conclusion that "Alpha Elite" = fancy Omega! Pictures comparing the Omega & Apex might speak volumes more than possibly confusing verbal/written descriptions when guests ask about "Alpha Elites"

I agree, it's ridiculous. I remember standing in BRU and looking at the boxes in awe that they would do that and walking back and forth from the Alpha Elite Apex to the Alpha Omega Elite and the Alpha Omega (which also says Alpha Elite on the box). I emailed the company and got a weird answer from them. I should try to find it.

I've been harumphing about this for awhile... those darn stacks of boxes at BRU that say "Alpha Elite" and the word "Omega" is lower on the box... I won't even try to put my frustration into words again, they'd be all bad words.
Yup, really gotta watch it when people ask questions about any or both of these seats, especially since they both have sliding headrests (uuuuuugh...)

OK, here it is.

Dear ------:
Thank you for contacting Dorel Juvenile Group Consumer Relations. We
apologize for any delay in answering your email.

The Apex only has one name. The Lancer is the fabric that is on the
carseat. You will see different fabrics. We do not list all of our
products on the web site.

The Alpha Elite is now the name for a line of carseats.
The Apex is the Apex whether or not it is Safety 1st or Alpha Elite.
Just like a Ford is a Ford regardless if it is an Escort or Escape or
Taurus.

If you require additional assistance, you can also contact our Consumer
Relations Department at 800-544-1108, Monday - Thursday from 7:00 AM -

Is that as clear as mud?

Hmmm, that doesn't touch on why the Alpha Omega is also an Alpha Elite  Did you ask about the 17" vs. 19" thing, too

Anyway, THANKS for sharing -- am thinking of using this to write them myself, too...! :)
