Insurance company The HartFord?

I am thinking about changing my insurance company my rates went up over 75.00 this time. Has any one had any issues with The Hartford insurance?

Not sure about them as an insurance company for vehicles. Not to be nosey but who do you have now? Have you looked into One Beacon as well?

Mine went up $180 this year. Is it supposed to? I went to check out Progressive and they are less than 200 cheaper, not worth the hassel.

I have Geico and had them for yrs but for the past 3 renewals they have gone up on rates instead of down. our vehicles have not changed or driving record. We havent even had to do a claim. I did quotes and The Hartford was way cheeper. I tired progressive but they said they couldnt provide us with a policy they didnt say why which is strange. There is nothing on my driver record nor my husbands. Plus I want a insurance company that will be able to replace seats. Geico was like humm probley not have an accident first and file a cliam.

Don't know about the Hartford, but we have had State Farm for years, and our rates keep going down. Even with newer/different vehicles. We had our door slam into a van b/c of high wind, and it didn't even go up then, and they paid for 100% of the repairs on the other people's vehicle (ours was fine).

Has your credit score changed at all? Auto insurance companies also pull your credit score and the rate is partially based on that as well.

On a side note, both times I was involved in accidents (neither accident was my fault), the other person's insurance was Geico. They replaced the seats both times, no problems at all.

We've been having an ongoing problem with The Hartford claims since last winter. They put in a false claim against us and then sent it to collections prematurely. Collections is purposely dense, refusing to accept denials from our insurance, giving us the incorrect fax number to fax it directly to them, etc. I'm waiting until it's all over in our favor and then am turning the whole thing over to the BBB.

We have Hartford, for several years, but have never had a claim. Therefore, we have had no probs with them. I guess only a claim will tell.............

I had it years ago and had a claim. I don't recall any issues or frustrations.
