So this is not something we are going to be doing anytime soon, but if we get to the point that DD is too big to get in and out easily, we'll be looking at getting a van. The chair we are getting for her has tie-downs and the guy from the supply place said it can be used forward facing OR rear-facing! He said it was crash-tested. I don't know any specifics about how safe this is, or if the kid should be a certain age or weight, or how much weight is too much, ect.
Anyone know anything about this? We are getting a kimba ottobock:

He said it's tested using both restraint systems together (vest portion and lap belt).
I'm kind of excited thinking we wouldn't have to worry about turning DD ffing!
