This NHTSA link has several crash test videos showing unrestrained passengers and carseat misuse, including a rear facing infant seat in the front seat in front of an airbag :

I can't get these to work (the 3 clips with crash dummies). Is there a trick to it?

Hmmm, dunno. What operating system and browser are you using? Unless you say rpath linux and firefox I don't think I can help you much. ;-)

Windows XP and Internet Explorer.

I did a test on Real Player and that worked but I still can't see them.

Hmmm, the video clips worked a month or two ago when I bookmarked them but they aren't working now for some reason, sorry about that. I've tried from Internet Explorer and Firefox using Windows XP. Bummer, because they were very good videos and replayed at slower speeds from a couple of different angles, too. Maybe the server side of things at NHTSA is down over the holiday or something?

Hmmmm, that NHTSA site is actually from 2002! I guess it's amazing the clips worked as long as they did. I found their recent site ( www.buckleupamerica.org ) and there is only one little booster video on it (go to news and video clips). Too bad they don't have some newer clips available.

Also, watch the changing pictures of (supposedly) properly restrained kids on the home page. It cycles to a kid in a T-SHIELD! OMG!

On the old-seat pictoral pages, it shows only one T-shield made after 1999, the Graco-Century, made until 2002. That was not the one pictured. So they have an expired unsafe seat as their "example". Sheesh!

Bump... The above NHTSA unrestrained crash test videos and clip of the rear facing infant seat in front of an active passenger side airbag all worked again when I tried them today. Came across this searching for more video clips. That lapbelt only one that Jenny posted is awesome. I mean, freaky - but awesome in how convincing it is. And it doesn't appear to be technically "lapbelt only" - I see a shoulder belt behind the dummy. Perfect for what I needed!
