I was searching for Sunshine Kids products... and found this.

How bizarre. At first I thought it was a crash test dummy. :whistle:



(is it okay to share this? Admittedly it's on the cusp of off-topic, and yet still somewhat on. I would never have found it if it weren't for searching for car seat parts, so here goes. :))

Let me see if I get this right, someone who knows more than me might explain it better, lol.

Dolls used to be available from some companies (back in the day of porcelain dolls being playthings) either assembled or as parts. You could buy just the head and sew a cloth body if you could not afford a whole doll, or you could buy arms and legs and a head and sew a cloth body, or buy an articulated porcelain body like this one and put them together, or there were other options. Some companies bought their doll parts from distributors and then assembled and dressed and re-sold them. A collector might already have a head to go with this doll but needs a body; that's why people would buy it. I think. I'm a little fuzzy on this stuff, I knew a lady who collected but most of her explainations were not very well attended to by me, sadly!
