Just got new TF!!!

I just got a new TF to ERF my 21 mo. DS outgrowing his SS1. I love this seat! Got it for $150 from Learning Curve with coupon code http://www.retailmenot.com/view/learningcurve.com. It installed like a charm. I have an expiring RA (very difficult to get acceptable recline in my HO 2003) and an Alpha Omega (impossible acceptable rear install). I have not installed FF, but assume it is just as easy. My 4 yo (33#) could even ride extremely comfortable RF in it. I wish I would have gotten this seat from the beginning instead of the SS2, which I actually really liked, until I wised up to the ERF benefits. This is a very roomy deep seat. We love it. Only negatives: the harness adjustment is a little difficult to access RF and the crotch strap seems kind of short for an older child. Has anyone else experienced this with any fixes?

I'm glad that you like it! I don't have one and have never installed one, so I can't help you with your issues, but I want one to RF Z eventually, so I'm glad to hear that you like it!

Yay! I love mine too! What is the DOM on yours and does it have 2 or 3 crotch buckle positions? Mine is 1/2008 with 3 positions, which I am glad about.

The harness adjuster being buried actually hasn't been as much of an issue as I had feared. I can get to it if I need to, but with the continuous loop harness, I don't feel the need to loosen and tighten every time. It's good for us since DH thinks I go way overboard with all this car seat stuff  and is bound not to tighten it enough if given the chance.

My DOM is 5/2008. I thought mine only has 2 crotch strap positions. I'll have to check that. Thanks!
Just checked. Mine only has 2 positions. Checked the manual and tried the seat.....................

Ah, well. I think it's the older DOMs with the 3 positions. Not sure why they changed that...I like it.

I got a 1/08 last month with 3 crotch positions. I thought the switch was from 2 to 3 positions! Wonder why they took away a position?

I wondered that too and I have come to the conclusion that either A.. the inner position was too close to the child or fell under the child B... the outer position interfered with the rearfacing belt path. Would be nice to know though...
