During a conversation today with my new Chiropractor (a male btw) I found out that he still has his 19mth girl rear-facing in her carseat. The topic came about when discussing my back issues and installing carseats. I asked him the "wh's" lol. He said basically he had done research online and everything he read said to keep them rear-facing to the limits of the seat, so that's what he did. He also mentioned that his carseat's manual said the child can remain rear-facing until the head is within an inch of the top of the seat shell, and/or the child weighs 35lbs.
