Question How much longer? Maybe I'm seeing it wrong.

The first pic is taken staight on with her leaning all the way back. 2 & 3 are her sitting normal. The last is her slouching. The shell slot is just about equal with the cover slot.

About a year would be my guess. Maybe a bit less. Though she's five and on the top slots? She's a fast grower, so maybe six months?

I really don't know where all this growing is from. She just keeps getting bigger. Hmm a year. Ugh I really need to find that good deal on a Vivo.

Her height is 44 1/2 and her torso is 16 1/2 and 50lbs. So I really can't believe she fits that way. In one year she has grown 3 1/2 inches, 1 1/2 torso and 12lbs. With exception to the weight it seems about normal.
This seat is supposed to have 20 torso, but Britax says it's actually 19 with the cover. Even so she should have a minimum of 2 1/2 inches, I can barely see 2. I am going to get something that's about 3 inches and sit her on it, lol, and see how she measures. It doesn't add up.

My DD had less room then that in her regent when she was 5 and she is luckily still in it at age 6. She is right at the top slot though and I am not using the recline bar (pre-advisory seat so I at least have the option to install it that way). You probably have a year or so left in the seat just by looking at the pictures. My DD has grown in her legs more then her torso this year so hopefully that will continue and we will get a little more use out of the seat.

WHERE ARE ALL THE TECHS? Why are there none in NJ? Anyone coming this side to visit anytime soon?

(Hmmmm, maybe Judi will come with a puppy and check my kid in her car seat while she's here )

It's probably because of the recline bar. The more reclined a seat is, the less room kids tend to have in it.

Wow! That doesn't make any sense.
Ian is 48" and his torso has been 17.5" since he outgrew the MA.
He is on the 2nd to the top slot and our Regent is installed with the recline bar.
Is your Regent a pre or post advisory?
I think the post ones have lower top slots

IMO the post have lower ones too. But I do have a pre one using the LBP without recline bar, I will see how she fits in that one.

Check the pre one and see if it's any better.
I'll have to measure Ian's torso too. It's been a while.
I also think he's ready to move to the top slots now. It's pretty close.

I'd say she's got about a year, and I'd also say she's got a longer torso than 16.5 inches. ;) Measuring torso height is not an exact science, LOL, and it's easy to mess up by up to an inch in either direction, IMO. The last photo you posted, where she was slouching, that does look like a 16.5 inch torso, so I'm guessing when you measure her torso, she's slouching, or sitting very upright against a wall, much more upright than how the Regent sits.

Hmmm, DD's the same height.. nowhere near the top slots. :scratcheshead:
Could it be something to do with her sweater? I noticed it's bunched up. What about behind her? Is she sitting on it?
I don't know why your dd is so close. It's a mystery.

They need homes in the next 2 weeks!

Well, if Hevy wants one and I want one wouldn't it be worth your while to fly to NY/NJ in the next 2 weeks?! I'll drive to NJ to pick mine up! And I'll buy ya lunch! (Then I can stop listening to our 13 yo complain endlessly that we've been in our new house for over 5 months now and still no dog and we promised!) :D
