Can I use marathon cover on decathlon?

I am considering a car seat shake up here and DD would gets DS's decathlon that has a light blue pattern. I know she'd love a girly pattern and I'd like to get her another cover, hopefully used. Can I use a marathon cover on a decathlon? Decathlon covers seem to be harder to find used.

If you ask Britax they would tell you no. But honestly I have in my own parental choice used a Marathon cover on a Decathlon. I know there are a couple of moms here who have used Decathlon covers on a Marathon also. If I remember correctly the Decathlon has 3 crotch positions and I *think* the outer most one fits the Marathon cover the best. Its been a while and I am sure someone else will chime in that can tell you if thats correct or not.:)

Yeah, same as the person above. I have a dragonfly cover on my dc right now. The outermost crotch position fits the marathon cover nicely.

Yes, they are pretty much the same shell.:thumbsup: The only other thing to remember is that the Decathon has a push button adjuster on the front and the Marathon has a different mechanism. In short the Marathon cover will cover up the front adjust on the Decathlon, but you can just lift up the flap to push the button. No biggie, but thought I would let you know:)

thanks for that tip too re adjuster. I didn't know that. I bought my decathlon because it was on a really good sale and didn't research it a ton. I actually have some issues with it that I need to search old posts about.

I think I will put a new decathlon cover on DD's christmas list for all the grandparents etc and see if anyone decides to get that for her. I know she'd love it. Then if no one does, I'll start watching ebay for marathon or decathlon covers.
