Which has a narrower base, Frontier or Nauti?

The "footprint" of our Frontier seemed much bigger than the GN. But I don't know if actual measurements cause that to be true or if it's just my perception. I no longer have the Frontier to measure otherwise I'd do it

Here's a thread with the measurements of the Nauti: http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=32792 Looks like the outer width at the top of the armrests is 19".

Link to Graco's dimensions of the Nautilus

This is a quote from Darren's review on carseatblog.com

Weight and Bulk- The Frontier is not small and light. It has to be among the larger and heavier models to accommodate older kids. It weighs over 20 pounds and measures roughly 20” by 22” x 26”.

You can find the dimensions for the Frontier on Britax's site in a chart at the bottom here

So they look pretty much equal. Darren's width measurement matches Britax, Tumblebug's width of the Nauti is 1" smaller than Graco's. I suspect in terms of actual footprint the Nautilus is a smidge narrower, but the armrests would remove that difference. Depending on the seat next to it my guess would be the Frontier would puzzle better, but I think it would really vary by vehicle and in the end the difference is likely minimal.

I got the Nauti. I don't care about the back width or the armrests, but I was hoping to put it in a center position and not bother the other buckle stalks.

I am apparently NOT a true carseat geek, because I'm going to wait until it stops raining to go play with it.
