ComfortSport vs Roundabout pics & measurements

I promised last week I'd get the ComfortSport from my mom and take some comparison shots of it with the Roundabout to show how little difference there is measurement-wise. There has been some discussion of the newer ComfortSports being smaller than the older ones and I think I have one of the older, 'bigger' ones. Hopefully someone with access to a new CS can post the measurements for comparison.

Here's my findings on my seats:

Graco Comfort Sport

Stamped with ‘Do Not Use Car seat after December 2011’

FF 20-40 lbs (top slots only)

Middle Slot: 10.75-11” (slot slightly slanted)
Top Slots: 14.5” (straight slot)

Shell Measurements:

Sorry those pictures are so big. I'm trying to figure out the best photobucket code to use, I'm not super experienced at posting pics.

So it looks like my CS has about 1/2 inch less harness height than my RA. It must be the way my kids slump into the crotch strap (it's farther out on the CS) because in the car the difference in harness height is even less than that.

I'm interested to see what the measurements on the new ComfortSports are for comparison. I know that Sam still (barely) fits in my CS, but when I put her in the display one at Target she had outgrown it. Anyone up for posting?

On a personal note though, there is no comparison between these seats for actual usage/installation. The RA is my all time favorite seat, the CS is my all time least favorite. ;)

Nice pics!

I'm glad I sold my two comfortsports! My DS would be FF and even with the top slots! He just turned 2 last month! EKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!

Just think that at least you didn't spend near as much on those ComfortSports as you would have on two Roundabouts that he would've outgrown!

I have two March 2007 ComfortSports. How new do you think the change is?

There's something weird about the CS, you get less height when the kid sits in it. Evan is even w/ the top slots and Ilana is just about too and they're about 12.5 and 13" torsos.

Yep...my kiddos are both around 12.75" torsos and have outgrown the current CS and have about an inch in our older one. However...when you "measure" the torso room is way more. I don't get it

I don't know, I have the opposite experience with mine- Sammy has a 14.5 in torso and she's even with the CS top slots.
