I bought a Monterey, now I have some questions...

So, over the weekend I finally bought my dd (8yrs) a Monterey. In pink, of course. :p

She loves it, the first thing she said. "Mommy, this one has deep cup holders!"

She was riding in a Regent most of the time, and a Parkway in daddy's car.

Okay, now the questions...

How long does it last? As in, when will it expire. DOM is 6/2008.

Does the cover do okay in the washer? Like Britax covers? :eek:

Do they sell replacement covers?

Are there any tricks to install it tighter? Maybe swisting the latch strap? :whistle:

The manual says "Even with ISOFAST properly attached and adjusted, child seat will still have movement against the vehicle seat back and bottom." Remember, you are using LATCH in a booster to keep the seat from becoming a projectile. LATCH is not being used to restrain your child. This is the function of the Seat Belt. You do not need a super tight installation for it to be properly installed.

Sunshine Kids recommends hand washing with cold water and mild detergent with line drying.

The Monterrey Booster has a six year expiration according to the manual.

I promise I did read the manual, but didnt find anything about the expiration date.

I know that the purpose of latch is to prevent the booster from becoming a projectile. I just dont like that it moves so much. :eek:
