I Have Decided - TF Related

I have decided that while I am totally in LOVE with the idea of having a seat with a ARF, I cannot spend the $$$ for the new TF. We have 2 MA's, 1 SS1, and a EFTA (for Grammie's car) so I cannot justify spending that much. So now I am thinking I will get the Misty Morning TF for DS when he outgrows the MA and put Sia RF in the MA.

Spending less than $200 is better than almost $300.

Do you think the older colors of the regular TF will go down once the newer ones come out? I really want a Misty Morning.

I know this has been asked before, but are you comfortable RFing a larger child without a RF tether or ARF?

Thanks!

I am absolutely, completely and totally comfortable with any child RFing without an anti-rebound feature. The studies that showed the fabulous safety benefits were likely observing almost entirely traditional RFing seats with no anti-rebound feature. There is disagreement among car seat manufacturers about whether a rear-facing tether is a helpful or harmful feature.

I love the True Fit and I feel comfortable with my son in it. I feel that he is totally safe in it. I would love the ARB feature though. Even though our Marathon tethers rear facing, I still like our True Fit a bit more. I saw the True Fit onsale on Amazon.com for $160 using the code visababy but I don't know if it is for the Misty Morning one

Misty Morning is the color I like best right now too! But the cheapest I've found online is BRU and Walmart.

I'm really wanting to order a TF, but don't know if I want to pay an extra $30 to get Misty Morning!

Interesting- When I got mine, it seemed Misty Morning was the cheapest one! May it just depends on what's in stock!

Does the code LCSHOP25 still work at The Learning Curve site? That takes 25% off making it 150 + $13 or so shipping.

Just tried and for that coupon you have to be a registered member of the Learning Curve Parents Council. I didn't feel like figuring out how to register, so I looked on "retailmenot.com" for more codes. Found LCFRIEND is also for 25% and it worked!! I read it has to be all caps.

Anyway, think I'm going to order it - brought it down to $162.94! So just as good as Amazon's deal, but I get the color I want!!

Yeah, after doing some other stuff, I went back and clicked buy! But it didn't give me any kind of confirmation, so I'm waiting for the email to see if it really went through!
