Avenue

So after much debate and lot's of store hoping and seat fitting we ended up with an Avenue. We were going to go ahead and spend the money for and efta or a ma but decided since I want a nautilus or a frontier as soon as he goes ff to get the better cheap seat. So here are the pics I'm really amazed at the shell height. It seems really tall for a 40lbs weight limit. But he loves it and I'm pretty fond (we'll see how it installs tomorrow)

He's at the 3rd set of harness slots. I think He should make it to 35lbs easy in this seat.

That's a good long-term seat plan. :)

The cover is quite nice from what I can see of it. What is it called?

I really wish we had the Avenue up here. ::jealous::

Looks good! That's the one Evan has, he's just above the 3rd slots now, he grew recently, yay! Ilana is in the 3rd slots too though and she's not quite 2! I bet she doesn't make it to 35# in this seat, Evan will since he finally started gaining weight. Have you tried the Nautilus yet? AJ and Evan both really like it, I do to.

we've seen it but I've not had a chance to put him in it yet. I'm pretty sure that's where we are going when he goes out of the ave. But it's still a bit of a toss up. I had him in the frontier at bru and he looked so small...and it was just ...not really what I wanted it to be. So we are gonna hit the carseat isle and try out the nautilus I didn't see a floor model I could get to anywhere but at wal*mart and I can't get him up that high lol

They had one at baby depot for %50 off because the box had water damage. I was freaked that they were even gonna sell it because the cover was stained and it had mold growing on the box and a piece of the harness and they didn't have a floor model out yet. So.....we are gonna try the walmart a few exits down they have a lower car seat display than the one here.

I was not horribly impresed with the seat, but I was not comparing apples to apples in my head...as i have been thinking about it...for the price, it is a good seat.
We went to Sears and I sat DD in it..she is *almost* at the top slots., has under an inch left to go, and she weighs 38 pounds, and just turned 4. She is 50-60th % for height and weight, so a very average sized just turned 4 yo, with a little bigger than average torso, i think. So...that tells me a good 50% of kids will make it to about 4 yo/40 lbs in this seat...not too bad for $80...and a heck of a lot better than some of the other options in that price range ...*cough* comfortsport...titan....tribute....

I did not love it..far from it..but in it's price range, it seemed like a good value, and fairly plush and nice.
