So my SIL (DH's sister) is in town for a few days w/her
10.5 month old. She has an Intera in her DH's car and
an Enspira in her car.
She had just bought the Enspira and took it to a local check
to have it installed. Well, they did an ok job...they were in a
hurry it seems and didn't bother to twist the long buckle stalk
or straighten out a twisted seat belt so it was tight enuf but not
tight enuf, KWIM?
So I wrestled with it a bit and got it installed properly and then put my RA
next to it so she could take my DD out w/her (yes, the US RA , I'm
cleaning the CDN MA)...HOLY MAN! The RA ROCKS! I put the belt thru,
pulled it tight while pushing down (no knees!) and it was rock solid and
I don't believe I'll be buying another Cosco anytime soon !
Not that I don't think Cosco seats are safe...they just aren't as user friendly as Britax.
Oh and while I was gloating about the great install after they returned
I noticed that I'd forgotten to do the tether and just left it, long strap
and all, sitting in the back window ...that's what going to a portrait studio w/5 kids between the ages of 4 mos. and 4 years will do to you!
