which for airline travel? TF or MA?

We are planning on travelling in November, and have the choice of bringing
either our True fit or our MA. Is there any reason to choose one over the other? I was originally leaning towards the MA; now I am torn.....
Anyone have any experience with both on a plane?
TIA!

I think I'd prefer the MA because it sits up on a base and provides a little extra thigh room for the person next to the seat.

I've also installed a MA both RFing and FFing on a plane and find it easy.

There is a trick for FFing though...
Ask for a belt extender. Extend it so it's all the way out.

Shorten the seatbelt (attached to the airplane seat) all the way. Then buckle the extender into the airplane seatbelt. Finish installing the seat by buckling the second half of the extender and shorten the *extender* until the seat is installed properly.

When you go to unbuckle the seat at your destination, the airplane's seat buckle will be outside the belt path of the MA (the extender's buckle will be in the belt path) and it is very easy to release the buckle.

If you don't use the extender, the buckle will be in the middle of the belt path of the MA and it's very difficult (and sometimes impossible) to release the buckle.

Some people have success not using an extender and just flipping the buckle backwards, but I still find that difficult to release the buckle at our destination.

For RFing, it's just a straight forward lap belt installation. :)

ETA: I would also worry if the TF needed to be FFing, that the lock-off would get in the way of the airplane's buckle?
