Booster questions the new Clek Oobr

Does anyone know a price point for the Clek Oobr? Does it fit little kids well?

I need a booster for my 4 year old, 42 pound, 43 inch boy for the school bus. He cannot use a harnessed car seat on the bus. The school district is worried about liability if the bus driver has to unsnap the buckle

So I am determined to buy the best booster I can for him. Right now the Graco Turbobooster, the Parkway (if I can find one), and the Monterey are on my list. I have tried him in a Turbobooster and it fits him surprisingly well, so unless there is a compelling reason to get something more expensive I probably won't at this point.

Thoughts?

Does the bus have lap shoulder belts? Just wanted to make sure as boosters require lap/shoulder belt.

The Oobr has not been released so if you need a seat now, it's not going to work for you. We don't really know yet how it will fit smaller kids since we haven't seen many kids in it! If you can find a parkway, it's a great fit for smaller kids. ETA - The PKWY also has not armrests so might be easier for your ds to buckle himself in.

Hi and welcome. We have a long thread about the Oobr in Carseat Chat, including some posts from Michael, a Clek staffer whose screen name is "Clek." :) He posted the following about the pricing:

Two hundred and forty dollars

Ok. Ah. Well. That ain't happenin'.

The bus does have lap shoulder belts on the outside positions. Of course there are lap belts in the aisle positions....with three year olds in expired backless boosters.

The lap shoulder positions are also LATCH equipped.
